Specialized in the PET-based film market, Evertis enjoys a position of technological leadership in the production of barrier films using coextrusion.
Coextrusion is a process that combines various layers from different polymers into a single film, making the most of their different chemical and mechanical properties and offering an ideal packaging solution designed to suit the specific needs of the particular industry.
The film leaves the extrusion process with a temperature of approximately 280ºC (536 ºF). Its thickness is adjusted by regulating the opening of the mold and then by hot-pressing.Simultaneously, the film cools to 35ºC (95ºF) as it passes through the first two rollers, stabilizing to room temperature until it is reeled.
